- If you can isolate the source of water causing the mold growth, stop it if possible.
- Turn off the heating and air conditioning system. Keep it off until the damage can be inspected to prevent any further spread of mold spores.
- Do not use bleach on the mold. It will not remove the problem. It may remove the visible signs of mold, but it will not eliminate mold at the source.
